The modular capacity is completed with a metal or plastic roof. In addition, tanks can be made without a roof.
The metal roof withstands snow loads and is installed on tanks for year-round operation. The metal roof consists of a load-bearing frame (galvanized trusses). Galvanized trusses are attached to the frame of the tank and deck with self-tapping screws with rubber washers.
Technical characteristics of metal roofs
Indicator | Unit | Value |
---|---|---|
Roof diameter | m | from 3,7 до 21,1 |
Material of deck | Galvanized sheet or profiled sheet | |
Thickness of deck | mm | 0,75 – 1 |
Maximum snow load | kg/m2 | 180 |
Componentry | Inspection hatch, rope ladder |
Plastic stretch roof is installed on tanks that are operated indoors or seasonally on the street. The plastic roof is attached to the top row of galvanized sheets of the frame through eyelets and rope. This roof prevents dirt, dust, insects and rainwater from entering the tank. Plastic roofs with a diameter of more than 7.3 m are additionally equipped with a central support column. The diameter of stretch roofs is from 3.7 to 21.1 m.
In ” outdoors” tanks, the plastic roof must be removed for the winter. In some cases, a roof for the tank is not required. Irrigation tanks (especially in greenhouses), rainwater collection tanks, wastewater collection tanks, seasonal water tanks are usually installed without a roof.
