The tightness of the modular tank is provided by a insert made of a polypropylene membrane. The insert is checked for leaks by excess pressure and delivered to a ready-to-use object. No membrane welding work is carried out on site. The insert is fastened with screws to the frame of the tank through eyelets or a tightening belt.
The standard membrane thickness is 0.5 or 0.75 mm. This thickness is optimal because increasing the thickness of the membrane impairs the flexibility of the insert, and decreasing it impairs the strength. In the thickness range from 0.5-0.75 mm under load, the membrane is well stretched, and when the load is removed – returns to its original size without changing the properties.
